Full-day Athens tour

08:45 Start from the all marble Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896 (short stop). Continue driving to the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the old University, the National Library and the Constitution Square (Syntagma). Off the bus and on to Acropolis with the Masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally the monument that “puts order in the mind”, the Parthenon.
With the tour guide you visit the New Acropolis museum where the statues found a home.

13:45 Continue to a traditional taverna in Plaka for lunch.

15:00 After lunch drive along the coastal road, passing by the beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Varkiza to Cape Sounion, where the Temple of Poseidon stands. After visiting the Temple, you have time to walk at leisure and admire the sunset in Sounion.
