After leaving Athens ,we continue north to THEBES(the city associated with the legend of Oedipus - the king of the city that killed his father, married his mother and had children with her), LEVADIA (short stop) and Arachova for DELPHI, the sanctuary of Apollo, known in ancient times as the navel of the world. Pass by CASTALIA SPRING, visit at the archaeological site the TEMPLE of APOLLO famous for its oracle and the MUSEUM OF DELPHI, with it's spectacular finds, including the bronze Charioteer, the Naxian Sphinx and the Statue of Antinoos. After lunch return to Athens via the picturesque mountain village of ARACHOVA, built on the south slopes of Parnassus, well known for its attractive hand-woven carpets, rugs and quilts, as well as for its wine and cheese (short stop).

Get you ticket from us and learn the story of "the stone with the 5 Olympic Games Rings", the so called Carl Diem's stone, that you will see near the entrance of the Delphi site.

.And for the people that "Google search" to travel from Athens to Delphi by train: There is no train connection between Athens and Delphi. You may travel to Levadia and then get on the local bus from Levadia to Delphi.
