2010 ATHENS CLASSIC MARATHON – 31 October 2010
No more registrations to the public available as from 05 June 2010.
As you may be aware, 2010 is the celebration year of the 2,500 years from the Marathon Battle.
The 2010 Athens Classic Marathon will be held on 31 October 2010, and
the registration period for this event will open on March 10th 2010.
Starting from that date, you may submit your online registration for the event through the official website,
The 2010 Athens Classic Marathon event will have specific participation limits per road race, as below:
A limited number of entries will be released to the public, as the rest have been offered for the event's partners.
The first persons to register will automatically be given a guaranteed place in the race.
In order to secure your participation in this unique race,
we invite you to submit your registration for the 2010 anniversary Athens Classic Marathon as early as possible.
On the occasion of the 2.500 anniversary of the Battle of Marathon and honouring the history of Marathon race, SEGAS (the Hellenic Athletics Federation) and AIMS (the International Association of Marathon Races) have created a commemorative medal with the anniversary logo on it, offered for sale by all Marathon races around the world through the year 2010.
The participants of the Athens Classic Marathon that wish to buy this medal may order it on their registration form and pay for that along with their registration fee, so that they collect it along with their bib number in Athens.
The cost of this medal is 10 Euros. Please note that this is a different medal from the one awarded to all runners that finish the race in the Panathenaikon all marble Stadium of Athens.
