A new addition in Athens is the Sightseeing Bus (?5.00/$6.50), of the Athens Urban Transport Organization.
The route begins and ends next to the National Archaeological Museum with stops at:
the Acropolis, Temple of Zeus, Plaka, Syntagma-Parliament, the university, Omonia Square, Kerameikos, Monastiraki, Psirri, Thission, the Benaki Museum, the National Gallery, the Central Market and the Panathenaiko Stadium.
The bus (with a tour guide) leaves every half-hour from the museum from 7am to 9pm and takes about 90 minutes if you stay on board during the entire trip.
This is a hop-on / hop-off bus so you can get off at any site you choose and catch the next bus to your next destination.
Tickets can only be purchased from the bus driver and are valid for 24 hours.

TOUR No. 3. Double decker tour (Daily) - all year round

Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Athenson a double decker bus. The tour lasts 90 minutes encompassing central Athens.
Trace the history and culture of Athens from ancient times to the present day and see interesting sites along the way.

Take the tour straight through or hop-off and hop-on along the route over a 24 hour period.
